One-week Orientation at TAP

My internship has been quite intensive so far. All the 9 interns, including
a Singapore Poly guy and another from Curtin Australia, from the 3
companies owned by Alvin namely The Alchemy Partnership (TAP), Nerf
Communication and Kult, gathered at TAP for a one-week orientation.

In the orientation which just ended today, we had lectures, or rather
presentations by the suits and creatives working there, excursions to
recording, imaging and photography studios, and printing company. The
rest of the time was spent on creating a concept for the Vivo City account
that TAP is trying to pitch for currently.

THANK GOD Alvin was pretty impressed by what Wei Yang and I came
up with as a group, otherwise we could have been the ones working on
this project during the weekends instead of the other two groups. I bet
TAP is just trying to rip some ideas off the poor interns lor. If they were
to present our idea to Vivo City without crediting us, I will be f*cking
sian la!

I heard from some of my friends who are also on internship that they
haven't been doing much...Slotting letters into envelopes, checking
mails, even stoning were basically what kept them occupied this week.
I was kinda envious of them initially, but then I figured out that although
I stay for longer hours and my days end much later usually at 7pm, the
working experience that I'm gaining is something that enriches my
internship programme and enhances my knowledge of how an advertising
firm really functions. And it's really cool that I have so many friends for
company during this 6 months cuz the experience is gonna be just fun,
fun and fun ! It's tiring, but it's been great.
