Chinese New Year Day 2

My hair is getting long I noticed. Crap.

I think of trimming it off again. And the last time I did that was ONLY like a month ago?

Oh man... this makes me feel like a guy since you know how
frequently they snip their hair to keep it short.

updates

My life's been good though I'm physically worn...Have been starting work
early and ending it late almost daily. I haven't had a good night sleep since
the start of my internship. Fortunately people in my company are extremely
nice and fun to get along with, which makes the experience a lot less tormenting.

Today one of my bosses gave everyone ang baos, including the interns!!!!!!
I received $18!!!!! Though I believe the perm staff are getting a much bigger
ang bao, it was really very unexpected of him to give us red packet as he's an
Indian! Happy sia...

Anyway I really wanna take pic of what I'm wearing for the day but I'm so
tired that I can't be bothered...I have already started wearing the clothes
bought specially for CNY. Zero self-control at all. Okay i lost my flow of
thoughts. shall stop here.

Well, my course is not all about drawing and slogans.
It emphasizes more on theories and concept development rather
than the execution part, regrettably. We were even told by a
lecturer that the concept carries greater weight than the execution
as there are always people in ADM who will willingly help us
with the latter. Hence, our exposure to design programs like
Illustrator, Freehand and Photoshop is by far much limited than
the Arts student.

But what I learnt in my internship is a completely different thing.
Not only is it important to have a good concept, it is also salient
that art directors know how to use such design programs. Yup,
and also I'm now designated to work in the traffic department that
facilitates communication between the suits(account svc) and art
directors. So I can't exactly say I'm enjoying every moment working
as a liaison. But fortunately there're still some creative assignments
for me to work on, with the CityLink account being the most recent
one. And that's something I could at least feel relieve about. Okay I'm
gonna stop talking about my internship for now.

Anyway, to everyone who is intending to go to Jason Mraz's concert,
I hope you guys DON'T sing along with him!!! Seriously I know
Singaporeans have a habit of singing aloud with the artist. Trying to
prove that they can sing the songs as well as, if not better than, the artist,
or trying to show the artist that "we, Singaporean fans here love you so
much"? I don't know. But Jason Mraz is a brilliant live performer who
has never sung a song in the same way twice. His performance should be
enjoyed and appreciated with full attention and not to be regarded as a
let's-sing-along session like the Hi5.

So please, let me hear the man himself sing acoustically.
We didn't paying to hear ourselves sing.

Well I don't wanna wait...

uh huh...no need to guess.

I'VE GOT IT!

I'VE GOT THE DAMN TICKETS to Jason Mraz's concert!

Omg the tickets are selling so fast since its release on 11 Jan.

Only left with a few single seats on the sides and I've secured
the side seats closest to the stage!

OMG Mr A-Z, watch out for me, YOUR BIGGEST FAN!

One-week Orientation at TAP

My internship has been quite intensive so far. All the 9 interns, including
a Singapore Poly guy and another from Curtin Australia, from the 3
companies owned by Alvin namely The Alchemy Partnership (TAP), Nerf
Communication and Kult, gathered at TAP for a one-week orientation.

In the orientation which just ended today, we had lectures, or rather
presentations by the suits and creatives working there, excursions to
recording, imaging and photography studios, and printing company. The
rest of the time was spent on creating a concept for the Vivo City account
that TAP is trying to pitch for currently.

THANK GOD Alvin was pretty impressed by what Wei Yang and I came
up with as a group, otherwise we could have been the ones working on
this project during the weekends instead of the other two groups. I bet
TAP is just trying to rip some ideas off the poor interns lor. If they were
to present our idea to Vivo City without crediting us, I will be f*cking
sian la!

I heard from some of my friends who are also on internship that they
haven't been doing much...Slotting letters into envelopes, checking
mails, even stoning were basically what kept them occupied this week.
I was kinda envious of them initially, but then I figured out that although
I stay for longer hours and my days end much later usually at 7pm, the
working experience that I'm gaining is something that enriches my
internship programme and enhances my knowledge of how an advertising
firm really functions. And it's really cool that I have so many friends for
company during this 6 months cuz the experience is gonna be just fun,
fun and fun ! It's tiring, but it's been great.

Preparing for work

I will be reporting for internship work at The Alchemy Partnership
officially in a couple of hours time.

Oh gosh...I'm SO nervous...

I'm afraid of being late on the first day of work.
I'm afraid of getting sore feet resulted from the heels I will be wearing.
I'm afraid of being in the wrong dress code (as I intend to wear jeans cuz
the dress code is stated as "casual").
I'm afraid of revealing my apprehension on my face or speech.

Seriously hope everything will turn out just fine and that my worries are redundant :s

My Birthday:

SG flyer/boat ride outing with babe's family to celebrate my birthday:

Seen enough of my new hairstyle???
Well, doesn't look that "new" exactly since it's still longer than desired.
HAHA I wish it can be shorter...

Went to town with babe today to celebrate our early New Year.
But we missed all countdown parties because of Little Nonya.
Very noble of me eh? Now I miss my babe :(

Anyway,
Happy New Year everyone!
